Download and install the latest version of Kate Kate is part of the KDE Plasma Desktop Environment

Linux

If you are using the KDE Plasma desktop then Kate is already installed. Other desktops can use the command:

sudo apt install kate

macOS

Alternatively, you can use brew to install Kate:

brew install --cask kate
